Undergrad Conference

In 2009,  Macon State College’s School of Arts and Sciences hosted it’s first ever undergraduate conference– “The Culture of Conflict.” The event, which was open to students from the University System of Georgia, Wesleyan College, and Mercer University, featured 75 student-scholars from 10 different institutions.

Through its ongoing development of an annual undergraduate conference, the School of Arts & Sciences–in conjunction with the Macon State English Studies Organization and the History Students Organizations– hopes to create a nurturing environment in which students can share their scholarly and creative work with peers.

The 2010 conference committee is proud to announce plans for this year’s event– “Constructing Identity:  Race, Class, Gender, and Beyond.”  The conference  will take place on November 19-20, 2010, and event organizers have announced a Call for Projects.
